Looking for a hidden directory

Searching command

The below command will search for a hidden directory and save the result in a file.

feroxbuster -u http://$ms01:81 --filter-status 404 --scan-dir-listings -o ms_http_81.txt

This script scans all directories and stores the results in a file named ms_http_81.txt. If it finds a directory, it scans that directory as well.

At any point during the scan, you can press the Enter key to cancel the specific directory scan in progress. [Instructions on how to proceed will be provided after pressing the Enter key.]

Cleaning up file command

# Clear the file after completing the scan. Using below command.
sed '/^Configuration {/,/^}$/d' ms_http_81.txt > cleaned_ms_http_81.txt

Looking for a file extension

feroxbuster -u http://$ms01:81 --filter-status 404 -x php,txt --scan-dir-listings -o ms_http_81.txt

-x option helps in finding particular file extension.

Pattern And API

Unfortunately, Feroxbuster doesn't support pattern matching. You can use gobuster for the same.

first make pattern.
